Most people who want a custom leather jacket arrive with a specific frustration. Every off-the-rack sleeve is two inches too long. The shoulders fit but the waist swims. The exact shade of oxblood in your head doesn't exist in any store. A made-to-measure jacket exists to solve that problem, not to be a luxury for its own sake.
Every Gacket custom jacket is cut and stitched to the measurements and specification you give us - nothing is pulled from stock and altered, so the details that usually get decided for you are yours instead. Custom pieces carry the same lifetime stitch guarantee as everything we handcraft.
What you choose on a custom leather jacket
- Silhouette - biker, bomber, racer/cafe, field, blazer-cut, or a shape you describe to us in your own words
- Leather - full-grain, top-grain, lambskin, sheepskin, cowhide, goatskin, suede or shearling
- Colour and finish - matte, waxed, distressed or polished
- Length and proportion - jacket and sleeve length, cuff opening, shoulder width, body taper
- Closures and hardware - zip or button front, snap type, metal tone (antique brass, gunmetal, nickel, black)
- Collar and lapel - stand collar, notch lapel, shirt collar, or fur and shearling collars
- Pockets - number, placement, welt or patch, and interior pockets sized to what you carry
- Lining - quilted for warmth, viscose or satin for a smooth slide over knitwear, or unlined
- Personalisation - initials embossed inside the jacket, where applicable
How a custom order runs
- Tell us what you want. A description, a reference photo, or a link to a jacket in our range close to the shape you have in mind. Get in touch with as much or as little detail as you have.
- We confirm the spec. Leather, colour, hardware, lining and every measurement agreed in writing before anything is cut.
- It's made by hand to order. The pattern is drafted to your figures and the jacket is cut and stitched for you specifically.
- It ships. Made-to-measure pieces normally take around 3-5 weeks before dispatch. You pay nothing for express delivery in the USA; international pricing shows at checkout.
Measuring for your leather jacket
Fit is the point, so it's worth ten careful minutes. Measure over a t-shirt, not a jumper, and don't pull the tape tight. The figures that matter are chest at the fullest point, shoulder seam to seam, sleeve from shoulder point to wrist bone with the arm slightly bent, waist at the natural line, and back length from the nape to your preferred hem.

Which hide suits your jacket
Lambskin is softest and lightest, with immediate drape - the usual choice for a sleek city jacket. Cowhide is the opposite: thick and structured, holding a strong shoulder and breaking in over years. It's the traditional biker leather. Goatskin sits between them, durable for its weight with a pebbled grain. Suede is napped and casual, and needs care in wet weather. Honest answers before you order
Can I return a custom jacket?
Not on the standard terms. The usual 7-day window applies to stock sizes; a made-to-measure jacket is cut for one person and can't be resold, so custom orders are handled through alteration rather than refund. If the fit is off, tell us and we'll correct it. Read shipping and returns before committing.
Why 3-5 weeks?
The pattern is drafted for you, the hide is cut by hand and the jacket is assembled from scratch. Stock sizes ship in roughly 5-10 working days because they already exist.
What if I'm not sure what I want?
That's normal. Browse men's leather jackets or women's leather jackets, find something in the neighbourhood, and tell us what you'd change about it. Most custom orders start as "this one, but longer and in brown".
Is the guarantee the same?
Yes. The seams carry our guarantee for as long as you own it.
